Welcome to the Steeple Run Estates Homeowners' Association Website
The Steeple Run Homeowners’ Association (SRHA) welcomes you to our community
of 74 homes located on park-like 1+ acre sites outside of Crystal Lake, in McHenry
County, Illinois.
The SRHA was chartered by the original developer in February 1998. Since then, the
neighborhood has grown and prospered with custom-built homes. Residents
automatically become members of the Association upon purchase of their home. The
current Association assessment is $85 per year.
Steeple Run Estates is governed by the Covenants, Conditions, Restrictions and By-
Laws of the Association. These rules insure that the homeowners will conform to
standards that have been shown to maintain and enhance the beauty, value, and
safety of our neighborhood. A copy of the Covenants and By-Laws can be viewed on
this website.
Our children attend Coventry Elementary School, Hannah Beardsley Middle School
(D-47) and Prairie Ridge High School (D-155). Crystal Lake is also the home of
Immanuel Lutheran School, St. Thomas the Apostle School, McHenry County College
and Columbia University.
Steeple Run Estates is within the Crystal Lake Park District. The Park District
sponsors various organized sports and educational programs along with responsibility
for maintenance of the beaches located on Crystal Lake and neighborhood parks.
Chicago is 45 miles from Steeple Run, reached by car or METRA commuter trains
that makes regular runs into the city. The new Pingree Road station on the Union
Pacific Northwest line is only 5 minutes away. O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is
34 miles to the southeast.
